PT. Manunggal Perkasa together with KMB Pemalang (Kelompok Maju Bersama) held a Baking Class at the Gepuk chicken stall Pemalang. This event was attended by dozens of small and medium UMKM fostered by KMB Pemalang. All participants looked very enthusiastic in participating in the Baking Class activities.

This activity was guided by the best Chef of PT. Manunggal Perkasa, namely Chef Duryat assisted by Chef Ratna. Chef Duryat and Chef Ratna provided innovative training for Sweet Bread products (Kantil flour), Donuts (Melati flour) and Cake (Dahlia flour) to become more varied and attractive products, so that they can increase the economic value and selling price of the products.

This Baking Class aims to optimize the existence of small and medium SMEs to be more competitive in the modern market so that they can contribute to regional economic growth. In this activity, a question and answer session was also held regarding education on choosing good and correct wheat flour according to its intended use in order to produce good and quality products, the process and ingredients in making recipes and how to calculate costs and profits in a recipe. In addition, in this baking class event, SMEs were given a taste of the products they made, so that participants could find out firsthand the quality and taste of the recipes that had been practiced.

After participating in the Baking Class activity, UMKM are expected to experience positive changes in improving the quality of their products, because in this baking class UMKM learn about new techniques and the use of better ingredients, which allows them to create more innovative and attractive product variants. With increased quality and innovation, product competitiveness in the market also increases which has an impact on sales and market acceptance. (Rt/ Csb)
