INDUSTRY VISIT ENHANCHING STUDENTS’ UNDERSTANDING OF THE FLOUR INDUSTRY

PT Manunggal Perkasa received an industrial visit from Politeknik Negeri Cilacap, specifically from the D-IV Agroindustry Product Development (APD) study program. Approximately 36 students visited, divided into 2 groups. The Agroindustry Product Development study program is a branch of agricultural science that focuses on the development, production, and marketing of agricultural products and their derivatives. It involves the application of technology, management principles, and innovation to increase the added value and competitiveness of agricultural products. The Agroindustry Product Development program plays a key role in shaping a sustainable and innovative future for agriculture. With a focus on product innovation, efficient production management, effective marketing, and technology application, this department can be a driving force in creating new solutions in agriculture to meet future demands.

The industrial visit was conducted as part of the implementation of the GMP and Food Industry Sanitation practical courses. Furthermore, industrial visits are essential to provide students with real insights into the industry itself and to help them better understand the working environment related to their field of study during their lectures. This way, students are expected to be better prepared to enter the workforce upon graduation.
