Due to the prolonged drought in the Cilacap Regency in 2023, at least 16 villages experienced drought disasters. This information was conveyed by the Acting Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Cilacap Regency, Erna Suharyati, on the cilacapkab.go.id website.
In response to this situation, PT. Manunggal Perkasa coordinated with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Cilacap Regency to distribute 50,000 liters of clean water to the drought-affected areas, including Kutawaru Village in Cilacap Tengah District, Kubangkangkung Village in Kawunganten District, Sidaurip Village in Gandrungmangu District, and Layansari Village in Gandrungmangu District.
The distribution of clean water took place from September 22 to September 29, 2023, to meet the needs of approximately 574 households or more than 2,100 individuals.
Mrs. Hani, representing the Sidasari Hamlet in Kubangkangkung Village, Kawunganten District, expressed her gratitude to PT. Manunggal Perkasa for providing clean water assistance to the residents. This assistance was highly appreciated by the local community as it fulfilled their daily need for clean water, which was greatly felt by the community in facing this year’s prolonged drought.
